Ozone Ekho X40 Review: Analysis, Features and Opinions

On this occasion and thanks to the brand's trust in leaving us this product, we will analyze the Ozone EkhoX40 gaming headphones which have a fairly affordable price, designed for users who are new to the world of gaming headphones, with a price of around 30 euros.

Ozone is a Spanish brand that was born 4 years ago, focused on offering all kinds of gaming peripherals. In addition, it is the Vodafone Giants team sponsor of e-sports which is why it is common to see players with Ozone peripherals, who need the most demanding products.

Who do we recommend the Ozone Ekho X40 for?

For obvious reasons of the brand itself and the design of this model, these headphones are specially focused on spending hours playing, whether for computers or video game consoles thanks to the use of the 3.5 Jack standard.

There is no doubt that, thanks to the design and the built-in microphone, these headphones are focused on gaming, although without forgetting that they are an initial range, as they lack surround sound or other technologies that are incorporated in higher priced products such as HyperX Cloud Stinger Core 7.1 or more advanced models such as the Razer Thresher.

Design and comfort

With a very careful and modern design, they are mainly made of plastic which gives it great lightness, weighing just 329 gr. On the top we have a padding that provides the necessary comfort so that it does not bother us in the least when wearing them. It has vertical regulators to increase the diameter of the headband and a rigid folding microphone.

The ear pads of the headphones completely cover the ears, although they do not isolate completely. It is worth emphasizing this section, since as a positive point, by not producing encapsulation we can perceive any sound from outside, such as a call or the doorbell.

Besides, It has a volume control halfway along the cable. which connects to the headphones that will allow us to raise or lower the volume, and even mute the microphone.

What's in the box?

  • Over-ear headphones with stereo sound and built-in microphone.
  • Volume regulator.
  • Instruction manual.
  • Audio adapter for dual microphone and sound output.

Sound

If we don't understand much about sound and our budget is quite limited, we will find affordable headphones where We will not notice any acoustic deficienciesHowever, if you want to enjoy a minimum of sound quality, you will understand that your budget will not allow for this feature, taking into account that here the design takes the majority of importance.

It has a stereo sound with some fairly normal highs and lows and some media that dirty the final sound which we perceive as making it difficult to enjoy music, but in video games we are not going to notice it too much.

The good thing about all this is that after a few minutes and if you don't try something of better quality, you will end up getting used to it and you won't notice the acoustic deficiency.

Microphone

A microphone with more than enough length to not have it stuck to your face and bother you when using it. With a normal sensitivity that will allow us to use it decently in VoIP applications such as Discord, Skype and TeamSpeak among others. It is foldable and we have full control to silence it from the cable controls.

Connections

  • 3.5mm gold-coloured jack, which improves conductivity and prevents metal oxidation with a cable length of 2.1 meters. More than enough to move around freely while connected to the PC or console.
  • Mini Jack Adapter for sound output and microphone. We will only use it when we want to have the microphone working.

Making Of the review

Our canine friend Dante was eager to try them out and wanted to participate in the review so much that he acted as a model for the photos.
