This is not the first time we have analyzed a Tronsmart product, this brand is characterized by having launched many models of bluetooth speakers of excellent qualityThis brand stands out mainly for the quality-price they offer, good sound at the best price. But… is it really like that?
In this case, we analyze the speaker Bang from Tronsmart, a wireless Bluetooth speaker ideal for outdoor use, which has a very striking design and features that make it a perfect candidate if you are looking to buy a new speaker.
Design and materials
The first thing that catches our attention about the Tronsmart Bang is that, despite being a relatively inexpensive speaker, it doesn't seem that way, since visually it looks very well built and you can see that the materials with which it is manufactured are of excellent quality. Something that we can confirm, since it has IPX6 certification for water resistance, which allows it to withstand knocks, falls and water jets without causing damage to the speaker.
In addition, the entire body of the speaker comes covered with a metal mesh and a layer of fabric that is not too thick, but is strong enough to prevent the speaker from suffering any kind of damage if it is transported outside its box. The rest of the speaker's body is made of resistant plastic that gives it a very robust feel.
If we talk about its design, the first thing that stands out is that this model offers us a fairly Stylish and modern at the same timeOn the one hand, it has a handle that covers the entire length of the speaker, which allows it to be transported very easily, and it also has the logo and the word Tronsmart engraved on the top.
On the other hand, a RGB LED strip It runs along the edges of the front passive radiator and also on both sides. These lights have two operating modes, one of them is fixed light, with which we can choose the color and it will stay on while our speaker is playing.
The other mode is for the light to turn on, off and change color to the rhythm of the music that it is playing. We found this to be quite nice, because it gives the speaker a nicer touch, of course, you can also completely turn off the light if you don't want to use it and thus extend the power reserve a little.
At the bottom of the speaker, we will find two rounded bases made of rubberThe purpose of these is to prevent the vibrations produced by the sound of the speaker from causing it to move from its place if it is placed on a smooth surface.
Sound quality
All the sound power of this device comes from the combination of 2 tweeters, 2 woofers and supported by 2 passive radiators that, together, give us a total power of 60W. Below we leave you a small test of a few seconds against another speaker of the same brand:
Also, thanks to TuneConn, developed by Tronsmart, We will be able to synchronize a total of up to 100 speakers compatible. This would be a fully immersive experience to enjoy surround sound quality like never before.
Thanks to this series of components, we will not only have an audio power that can be used outdoors without any problem, but we will do so with the best sharpness that we can imagine for a speaker of this category.
Forget about distorted sounds, or speaker saturation at the highest volume levels, with the Tronsmart Bang you can listen to your music at the volume you want. without losing audio quality, we can really say that this speaker is on par with many other more expensive speakers.
Autonomy and battery
To talk about the autonomy of the Tronsmart Bang, we have to mention its powerful 10,800 mAh cell battery, which allows it to have a autonomy of about 15 hours at a moderate volume and with the LED lights function off.
But, If we turn on the LED lights and use our speaker at a high volume, the battery life will be reduced to approximately 10 hours..
Another interesting fact is that this speaker can be used as a powerbank, since it has the necessary connections to charge the battery of our mobile phone or any other device that requires an emergency charge.
This last feature is extremely useful if you go on an excursion to the beach or the mountains, as you will not have to use an additional powerbank, but you can use the Bang in case you need one.
Extra features
One of the functions that caught our attention the most is that we can also get additional benefit from the amplifier of our Tronsmart Bang through the Tronsmart Mobile App. However, we have to say that the app fails quite a bit and it was difficult for us to pair the device.. This is a special function where we can choose between different equalization modes, including:
- The default mode.
- Deep bass.
- Hi-fi.
- Vocal.
- Sound Pulse.
- 3D Live Mode.
- Classic.
- Rock.
Thanks to this function, the amplifier will make the necessary adjustments to give more body and relevance to the frequencies that we choose in the equalization profile that we like the most. Bass, mids and treble will be carefully adjusted so that we can differentiate the sound configuration for each group.
In addition, from the app we can also change music playback modeWe can also access the light control and see the battery status. The app is very easy to use and weighs very little. It is available in the App Store and Google Play Store, and it is free.
Connectivity

If we look at the back of the speaker, we will notice a small rubber cover that we can lift, underneath it we will find the connections that this wonderful speaker offers us. The first thing we will see will be a port USB-A which works as a powerbank, we will also see a USB-C with which we can charge the speaker's battery.
Next, we will find a 3.5mm jack connector, this works as an auxiliary in case we want to connect the speaker to an analog audio source. Finally, we have a micro-SD card reader in case we want to use it to store a list of songs on it.
Among the connections of the Tronsmart Bang, we will also find a hole with a reset button, in case we ever need it. But The main connection of the speaker is Bluetooth 5.0 which is also compatible with the SBC codec, which allows us to operate with bitrates of up to 345 kbps, which is certainly not the best signal ratio, but it works quite well, although an aptX codec would have been perfect.
Very important: When connecting the speaker wirelessly, we realized that you need to have the NFC and Bluetooth activated on your phone. Without the NFC, it wouldn't connect.
Controls
If we look at the top of the speaker, we will see 7 buttons with which we can access all the functions. basic speaker functions, the buttons are black, made of resistant rubber, with the symbols of what they control in relief. This makes it easy to recognize what each of the buttons is for when we touch them, even if we are not looking at them. The available buttons are:
- On/Off ButtonIts secondary function is to control the operating mode of the LED lights.
- + and – button With these we can control the volume level of the playback. Its secondary function is activated if we hold one of them down for 2 seconds, which will make us skip to the next or previous song.
- 'M' button This is used to navigate between playback modes, i.e. AUX, Bluetooth or Micro SD.
- SP button, This is used to activate and deactivate the Sound Pulse equalizer, with it we can enhance the different frequencies (high and low).
- TC or TuneConn button, this is the button we have to use if we want to synchronize several bluetooth speakers.
- Play button, It is used to play, pause, resume or disconnect the Bluetooth.
